1. Calista Okoronkwo

Calista Okoronkwo is a popular Nigerian, model and a television personality.




She was born on 3rd December, the actual year not known, in Owerri, Imo State, in south eastern Nigeria. She gained recognition in a television drama series “Clinic Matters”. She hails from Imo State Nigeria.




Calista had her primary and secondary education in Owerri, Imo State. After obtaining her first and secondary school certificates respectively, she went to the University of Nigeria, Nsukka in Enugu State where she bagged a bachelor’s degree in Economics. Since graduation, she has remained one of the fast growing and relevant Nollywood actresses in the movie industry.

In one of her interview with the Sun news, she revealed her displeasure over what she called an unpleasant assessment the public rates Nollywood actresses. According to Calista, not all Nigerian actresses are ‘runs girls’ who cannot make a good home




She however concluded that no matter what people might say about female actresses in Nigeria, some have good names, who should as well command respect




2. Ruby Orjiakor



Ruby Orjiakor is a fast rising Nollywood actress, producer, dancer, television personality and a model. She was born and bred in Port Harcourt, River State in the south southern part of Nigeria. She is originally from Amaraku village in Isi-Ala Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State in the south eastern part of Nigeria. She is from a Christian home and the fifth child in the family of six children.



Ruby Orjiakor completed her primary and secondary school education in Port Harcourt, River State in the south southern part of Nigeria and obtained her First School Leaving Certificate and West African Senior School Certificate.




After completing her primary and secondary school education in Port Harcourt, Ruby Orjiakor attended the Institute of Management and Technology (IMT) Enugu, Nigeria where her passion for acting started. On 20 May 2015, Ruby Orjiakor welcomes a baby girl from her producer lover and husband “Golden Ara” who is currently based in Lagos, Nigeria. The baby was delivered at St. Lukewarm Hospital in Asaba, Delta State, Nigeria



Ruby Orjiakor has being nominated for Most Promising Actress in Nigeria at the City People Entertainment Awards.



3. Chidi Ihezie



Chidi Ihezie Okafor is a popular Nigerian actress, model, television personality and a gospel singer.



She was born on the 19th of September 1980 in Lagos. She hails from Obowo Council of Imo State in south eastern Nigeria.


Chidi Ihezie had her primary and secondary education in Lagos where she had her first and secondary school certificates respectively.



She later went to Oko Polytechnics in Anambra State where she bagged a National Diploma in Mass Communication.



Chidi Ihezie joined the Nigerian Movie Industry in 1993. She has since starred in several movies. She rose to limelight in the industry after featuring in hit movie “Billionaires Club” and My In-law. 4. Genevieve Nnaji



Genevieve Nnaji, born 3 May 1979, is a Nigerian actress, producer, and director.


She won the Africa Movie Academy Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role in 2005, making her the first actor to win the award. In 2011, she was honoured as a Member of the Order of the Federal Republic by the Nigerian government for her contributions to Nollywood.


Her directorial debut movie, Lionheart , is the first Netflix Original from Nigeria, and first Nigerian submission for the Oscars . The movie was disqualified for having most of its dialogue in English.

5. Onyeka Onwenu



Onyeka Onwenu, born 17 May 1952, is a Nigerian singer , songwriter, actress , journalist , politician , and X Factor series judge . She is the youngest daughter of the Nigerian educationist and politician D . K Onwenu. Dubbed the "Elegant Stallion " by the Nigerian press, she is a former chairperson of the Imo State Council for Arts and Culture , and currently the Executive Director / chief executive officer of the National Centre for Women Development.



Onwenu hails from Arondizuogu, a small town in Ideato North , Imo State , and was raised in Port Harcourt.


Onwenu possess a BA in International Relations and Communication of the Wellesley College of Massachusetts , USA , and a master ' s degree in Media Studies from The New School for Social Research in New York . She worked for many years at the United Nations in New York before returning to Nigeria in 1980 , where she completed the mandatory one -year National Service , at the NTA where she made an impact as an articulate , incisive and fearless reporter . Rita Uchenna Nkem Dominic Nwaturuocha, born 12 July 1975, is a Nigerian actress. In 2012 she won the Africa Movie Academy Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role.



Rita Dominic is a member of the Royal Nwaturuocha family of Aboh Mbaise local government area in Imo State. She is the youngest of four children. Her late parents were health care professionals, her father was a medical doctor and mother a nursing officer. Daniella Okeke is a Nigerian actress. In 2013, she starred as "Joke" in Lagos Cougars, a role that earned her the Best Actress in a Leading Role nomination at both the 10th Africa Movie Academy Awards and 2014 Nigeria Entertainment Awards.
